Is this you?

Hey, it's Jessie.

About a year ago, I started retooling my business.

I figured I needed to learn how to market like the cool kids—who were on TikTok and Instagram, doing Facebook ads, and going viral right and left.

I admired their video skills and their copywriting chops and their ability to command attention. I loved their perfect makeup and effortless curls.

So I followed the gurus. I took courses. I signed up for masterminds and drank from the firehose to learn how to make carousels and talking head reels, how to write hooks, and how to automate all those DM conversations I was sure to have.

I even picked up a microphone kit and a ring light and one of those little screens that allows you to see what you're filming with your back camera.

And it's fascinating stuff. I'm not knocking any of it.

But, guys, I just hate it. So. Much.

Some people thrive with online attention. The hearts, the comments. The constantly dinging DMs. Juggling ongoing conversations with 15 people at once.

Me, I find that incredibly draining.

I get energy from one-on-one conversations. I love booking coffee chats and enjoy small networking events. I like writing thoughtful, longform emails rather than firing off dozens of pithy reels.

The more I tried to fit myself into that extroverted shell, the more my mind rebelled against it.

The more I pushed myself to perform to that standard, the more I burned out.

But.

I started noticing a pattern in conversations I was having with other business owners like me.

Other people who found that constant push for visibility exhausting.

They were asking the same question I was:

What if we could find a way that worked with our natural abilities and inclinations instead of forcing ourselves to change?

When I started asking that question, I realized something:

99% of my best clients have come through friendships, one-on-one conversations, referrals, and other forms of long-term relationship nurturing.

They’ve hired me because we built a real relationship—not because I went viral.

I was already getting clients without shouting into the social media void.

I didn't have to change everything about me in order to market my business—I need to change the way that I’m thinking about marketing to fit how I work.

To fit with my energy, my workflow.

To market in a way that fills up this introvert's creative well, rather than draining it.

OMG what a relief.

This month, I've been asked to participate in an event that takes the generally extroverted energy of The Internet down a notch—a huge notch.

An event designed with us introverts in mind.

It’s the 6th Annual Introvertpreneur Virtual Summit, hosted by Tara Reid—and it’s totally free.

There will be sessions on

  • community building
  • using joy to align your business with your life
  • creating system that honor your energy
  • marketing for neurospicy business owners
  • building partnerships
  • and much more.

There’s even one on the hidden brain patterns behind introvert burnout—which I will definitely be attending. 😅

If you've ever felt like traditional business strategies just don't fit the way you're wired, this summit was made for you.

And—best of all—you can attend without even talking to anyone!
